Cotswold Wildlife Park

Join Margaret as she goes around the Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens in the pouring rain, while her husband holds up the umbrella to protect the recording equipment and her granddaughter helps her interview one of the keepers. Meet, amongst others, the wallabies, colobus monkeys, snakes, rhinos, wolves, giraffes, flamingos and Madagascan lemurs. Learn about the eating habits of giraffes and discover why pink flamingos are pink, why zebras have stripes and what the Jamaican boa has for breakfast.

You can listen to Margaret’s broadcast, which was sent to listeners as part of this week’s recording, via the audio player below:

We received some glowing feedback from listeners after this was broadcast was sent out, including this from Mrs R:

I loved the visit to the Wildlife Centre with Margaret, Steve and Annie. I felt as if I was with them in the rain, then the warmth of the reptile house, then back outside with a little sun coming out. Very interesting to hear of how animals are weighed and the giraffes fed. I think Annie may well have a future in Broadcasting. She spoke so clearly and confidently. Many thanks!
