Following two visits earlier in the year, Margaret recently returned to Tewkesbury Nature Reserve for another outside broadcast. This time her visit was in the late evening, to see the Noctule and Pipistrelle bats emerge from their roosts and, with a little help from technology, listen to them as they use their ultrasonic echo location to navigate and hunt for moths.
